Our New Grant Process:
*Note, this new process is similar to “100 Women Who Care” or “100 Men of Madison”
With our merger with United Madison and our new name, United Madison Christian Givers, our Grant process has been streamlined with added accountability to enhance our overall process. We will also assign a mentor to each grant recipient organization as applicable to meet with them regularly and provide them with guidance and support.
Our Donors can now also become Members who have input in the grant process. Each quarter:
-
Each quarter, Christian non-profits submit grant requests. See eligibility below.
-
Grant applications will be vetted and reviewed by our UMCG Board of Directors.
-
Members will review and vote on six grant applicants who will present at the quarterly meeting.
-
Members will have the opportunity to listen to presentations by the six finalists and vote for the top three. Winners will receive checks by the end of the quarterly meeting.

What criteria do you use in reviewing proposals?
Determining whether or not to fund a project or program is an art not a science. We are prayerful in our process and try hard to be consistent and transparent in our deliberations. The questions listed below show you some of what we take into consideration as we review grant applications. While this is not an exhaustive list, please take these questions into consideration as you prepare your application.
